🗑 Prey for Computers: Changes to Custom Wipe
Several factors have led us to the decision to trim Custom Wipe for our computer client. We will no longer support the clearing of Cookies, Passwords, and Emails, nor will you be able to erase Local Files from Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive. We considered system requirements, privacy norms, and technical challenges. Most of all, limited user demand steered our choice.
Bear in mind that Custom Wipe will continue to be available to:
✅ Erase Device Files from Windows, macOS, and Ubuntu computers as usual.
✅ Wipe Specific Directories from macOS computers.
💻 These changes are relevant to Prey for Computers only, Custom Wipe for Android will continue the same.
✴ Custom Wipe is available for Full Suite and Protection Plans.
