What's new on Prey

Easier access to device information and a streamlined look

Our team has published several improvements to the Devices section in the last few weeks. Let's go through them one by one:

1️⃣ Filter list: The usual list remains, but its UI was replaced and made smarter.

• You will now see only the filters available to your plan (a long overdue improvement!)
• Each filter section will open to show the available filters and show the number of filters selected at the title level
• The filter list is now collapsible to grant more space. When collapsed, the icon will show how many labels are selected

2️⃣ Device list: This redesign improves the information amount and the ease of use.

• You can now select the number of devices you want to be shown per page, great for large fleets!
• The information provided in the Device column was reduced, including only the device type icon and name, connection state, device model, and status tags: Loaned, Missing, Overdue, and Test Device.

3️⃣ Device details sidebar: This new sidebar, accessible by clicking the arrow icon on each device, opens on your screen’s right side to reveal more in-depth device information, including Geofences if available. Go to each device's view to see all available details, like map location.
